Slovenia Samsung Galaxy S II users under Mobitel carrier is now getting the new firmware update. This build is
I9100XWLA4 and still packed in Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread having a build or modified date of January 31, 2012. The third newest official released by Samsung Kies server this year 2012 from previous releases like
I9100XILA2 in Italy and
I9100BVKL1 in France Orange network that seems left behind from other Orange carriers across Europe. SI.Mobil other carrier based in Slovenia is still stuck with
I9100BUKJ3 since October, and no signs of update yet. However, some other major carrier's in Europe are already in Android 2.3.6 like T-Mobile and Orange but others are still stuck in Android 2.3.5 like Vodafone and O2.

Here's the firmware info: Just check out and compare it to your device current baseband version. Seems its still the same baseband build from previous 2.3.5.

Some users keep on asking.. when the Ice Cream Sandwich to be release? Well, according to Samsung it's going to be push out towards the end of the first quarter of this year. The leaks keep on coming so far, we all better keep on waiting.
